M1 Mental Trading Cohort | Starting November 3, 2026
The M1 Mental Trading Academy is a six week live training experience built around Mental Architecture, the M1 MIND Framework, and Evidence Based Confidence. Across six weekly sessions, participants examine the patterns affecting execution, practice process aligned decisions through staged trading scenarios, and build evidence from their own behavior.

The 6-Week Performance Roadmap
Identify the physical signals, learned associations, interpretations, and behavioral patterns that influence execution. The Mental Architecture Audit establishes the patterns each participant will track throughout the Academy.
Practice the M1 Mental Space Reset through Recognize, Regulate, Reassess, and Respond. The session focuses on maintaining access to process when stress, urgency, or a recent outcome begins influencing the next decision.
Examine how experience based pattern recognition differs from emotionally driven urgency. Participants evaluate the information, emotional state, reasoning, risk, and execution behind fast decisions before considering the financial outcome.
Train the ability to remain ready while waiting for qualified opportunities. Participants use the Opportunity Filter to evaluate when the process supports action, waiting, reduced exposure, or remaining flat.
Review several weeks of Evidence Stack entries and compare confidence with documented process adherence. The focus is justified self trust built from observable behavior, feedback, and repeated execution.
Bring the six weeks together in a personal Mental Architecture Blueprint covering triggers, early warning signs, Mental Space practices, decision standards, Evidence Based Confidence measures, and continued practice for the next 30 days.
Who This Is For
You already have a process to work with, and you want to understand why your decisions stop following it once pressure hits.
The current Academy training is built around discretionary proprietary traders and active intraday traders who work from validated setups, defined risk limits, and an established trading process.
You've got defined setups, entry and exit criteria, and risk rules already in place, giving you an actual process to evaluate.
You can explain the right call after the fact, yet somehow end up making a different one while the trade is live.
You're ready to look closely at your own decisions, including the uncomfortable ones where you strayed from the plan.
Who This Is Not For
M1 works on how you execute a process you already have. Get clear on what you actually need before you take the next step.
If you're still learning to trade or need a strategy built from scratch, start there first. This work assumes the process already exists.
Evan provides no buy or sell alerts, entry calls, market predictions, or trades to copy. Participants make decisions through their own setups and risk rules.
M1 makes no promise of a specific return. The training focuses on self awareness, decision quality, and process discipline while trading risk remains part of market participation.
Market forecasts sit outside the Academy. Participants work on how they evaluate information and execute their existing process under uncertainty.
This work focuses on the behavioral patterns that influence how you apply your own trading rules.
The M1 Mechanism
M1 MIND gives participants a repeatable way to examine what is influencing a decision, create Mental Space, select process aligned behavior, and collect evidence from what they actually do. The participant facing sequence uses four commands.
Identify the trigger, interpretation, emotion, physical cue, or learned pattern influencing the decision.
Interrupt the automatic response and create enough Mental Space to reassess the situation against the process.
Select the behavior supported by the setup, risk rules, available information, and current conditions.
Record what happened and add the decision to the Evidence Stack so confidence can be compared with documented execution over time.
The M1 MIND™ Framework
The loss itself can be completely within your plan. The interference appears when recovering that loss becomes more urgent than waiting for your next legitimate setup.
Following the sequence reveals the exact moment where intervention matters, allowing the protocol to be applied before the reaction becomes another execution breakdown.
The trade closes at your planned stop.
Frustration creates the urge to immediately make the money back.
You enter another trade before a valid setup appears.
The trade falls outside your written entry rules.
Pause new entries, recognize the urge to recover, and evaluate the next setup against your written criteria before acting.
Illustrative Example
A planned stop can leave frustration and urgency behind. M1 trains the trader to recognize that state and evaluate the next opportunity through the process before placing another order.
The trade closes at your planned stop.
Frustration appears along with an urge to recover the loss through another trade. The trader identifies the emotion and physical cues before treating that urgency as market information.
The trader uses the Mental Space Reset to recognize the current state, regulate arousal, and reassess the next opportunity on its own information.
Setup validity, risk status, size, and exit conditions are checked before the trader decides to trade, wait, pass, or stop.
The decision goes into the Evidence Stack and receives a process quality score. P&L and process quality are reviewed separately so hindsight does not rewrite the original decision.

Submit your application when the Academy matches the type of execution and behavioral work you want to train.
The cohort does not end when the session closes.
24/7 access to the M1 Discord and WhatsApp community throughout the six weeks. A small, serious group of professionals working through the same material with the same level of accountability.
The workbook carries the training between sessions through pre and post session reflections, decision tickets, weekly commitments, process quality scores, and the Daily Evidence Stack.
Direct DM and email access to Evan throughout the six weeks for personalized feedback on what is showing up in your actual performance data between sessions.
Every participant goes through a personal onboarding call with Evan before the first session. This call identifies your specific failure patterns and sets the individual focus for your work within the group.
By Week 6, each participant completes a personal M1 Mental Architecture Blueprint built from the patterns, decisions, and Evidence Stack entries collected during the Academy.
The Blueprint records your primary triggers, early physical warning signs, Mental Space Reset, setup and sizing standards, stop trading conditions, process evidence measures, remaining development areas, and review routine.
A 30 day continuation plan defines the behaviors you will keep practicing, the evidence you will continue recording, and the schedule you will use to review your progress after the Cohort.

Meet The Founder
Evan Marks spent 25 years managing institutional capital at the hedge fund level before building M1 Performance Group.
He built M1 after seeing experienced market professionals understand their trading process and still struggle to access it consistently when pressure, uncertainty, P&L, identity, and recent outcomes entered the decision.
The current Academy brings that experience into a structured training model built around Mental Architecture, M1 MIND, Evidence Stacking, performance psychology, decision science, and behavioral practice.
Evan is a TEDx speaker, the author of the forthcoming book The Quiet Edge, and has appeared on 50-plus podcasts covering performance science.

Before You Take The Next Step
What M1 covers, who it's built for, and what to expect.
M1 is a mental performance training program for experienced traders who already work from a defined trading process. Participants use their own validated setups, instruments, and risk limits. Evan provides no market calls, trade recommendations, or investment strategy.
Evan provides no buy or sell signals, specific trade calls, or market predictions. The Academy trains self awareness, process discipline, decision quality, and behavioral responses within each participant’s existing trading process.
M1 provides performance coaching focused on trading behavior and execution discipline. Mental Architecture, Mental Space Reset, and Evidence Stacking are coaching constructs. The Academy does not present them as clinical protocols or mental health treatment.
The Academy is built for experienced traders who already use defined setups and risk rules in live markets. Traders who are still building their first strategy need that trading foundation before this training becomes relevant.
You should have enough live market experience to identify recurring situations where pressure, urgency, recent outcomes, or P&L affect execution. The current training materials focus specifically on discretionary proprietary traders and active intraday desks using validated setups and defined risk limits.
